I will dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
